How long?

IF the election campaign does start in the next few days how long do you think it will take before we hear Liberals saying the following:

A vote for the NDP is a vote for the conservatives.

And my personal favorite, which pretty much means that the Liberals will have already given up on winning the election: We must fight to ensure that Stephen Harper does not get a majority.

I expect we will hear both statements in one form or another in the up coming 40 or so days, but when?

My money is on Ralph Goodale being the first to say it.

Check Greg Weston in today's Toronto Sun. He comments that the NDP will be focussing its attack on the Conservatives.

Dippers focusing on Cons is great strategy.
That gives both Cons and Dippers more media coverage.

Acutally I think it is a great strategy for us and the NDP. First off, the more D... is marginalized and left out of the central debate, the more people will concentrate on who they want to be government and who they want to be the official opposition. Conservatives for government and NDP for official opposition. Harper and Layton should make a concerted effort to never, never mention D...'s name and to always respond in a manner that treats anything Liberals say as a voice from the darkness, a third tier group. Be nice, polite but never respond to them as if what they are saying is of any value. Ignore them and they will go away. (Let's hope)
