Grab a beer and some popcorn, and sit back and watch..

Grab yourself a beer and some popcorn, and sit back and watch as the Liberals tie themselves into knots.

...trouble is brewing once more, as Liberal support continues to slide and some of Mr. Rae’s advocates openly agitate for a debate about a coalition with the NDP.

It couldn't happen to a nicer bunch.

More from the NP story: My good buddy Scott Reid had some thoughts on this:

“This is a merger by any other name… A slippery slope to sacrificing our political identity. It would amount to a total betrayal of the Liberal party’s history, identity and success,”

“Would we run 100 fewer candidates? Would we abandon Saskatchewan and Manitoba to the NDP and ask Ralph [Goodale] to step down? I think the notion is absurd. The only person who advocated it was Jean Chrétien on CBC but I have a hard time believing Jean Chrétien thinks the Liberal party shouldn’t run 308 candidates at the next election.”

The party that is more united than it has been in a generation has a funny way of showing it.

UD: Watch Scott Reid in action here @ the Iceman's place.

Is Scott Reid now against a coalition? If my memory serves me correctly, he was pretty serious about a coalition in Dec 2008.

Indeed he was Iceman; my EXACT thought and certainly there's no need for the link to be attached of his "kill him dead" challenge as the last time I checked, it had an Editor's amendment.

However, perhaps flip-flopping is in the water at the OLO?

I have an interesting question for these scoundrel's; are they willing NOW to drop their entitlement of 1.95 per vote?

Which party will blink first?

The death of a political party (talking Liberals) is an agonizing spiral. Starts out big and then ends with a wimper. In the case of that political genius, Scott Reid, a B-rated slasher movie. Cheers. FernStAlbert

It is a race to the bottom.

Bob camp vs Iffy camp.

The NDP are a distraction.

Team Bob will continue to leak details or problems inside LPOC.

The press noted they have for a long time and a it was supporters close to Iffy that were doing it too.

WK noted he did not like having his friend pushed out. (Davey)

In Nov 2009 more staff were let go.

Rossi left before 4th quarter numbers.

It cost $ 20 million to run a national campaign.

Are the Lib/NDP prepared to run and secure loans for another run for second or third place?
