Michael Ignatieff is 63 years old today.
Have a Happy Canadian Birthday Michael.* From the Albertaardvark
*He may not used to that, having celebrated over half of his birthdays outside of the country, but today I can put partisan politics aside and wish him the best.

Let's tell Iggy that it's a Canadian tradition to buy everyone a donut at Tim Hortons on your birthday.
We might have better luck telling him the tradition is to buy everyone a latte at Starbucks. I doubt he has set foot in a Timmy's since Tim Horton passed away.
Have a Happy Canadian Birthday Michael.* or not...
63 eh?
I wonder how old he'll be when he finally gives up and goes back home to Harvard.
Joanne, my guess would be 64.
I will add the poll as my gift to his future. The good news he clearly wins this Poll.
Which pension will he reach first, OAS or MPs. Too bad he can't collect
CPP, unless he was filing cdn taxes all those years he was out of the country. But only cdn income qualifies.
I hope to be an old person some day too (soon).
Joanne,
He doesn't know enough to give up - lucky for us.
Happy Birthday Michael, and many many more!!
So Michael Ignatieff is 63 .... and David Cameron, the new British PM is 43.
Sounds like someone may be past his "best before" time.
By the time Iggy has his butler blow out the candles on his birthday cake, his birthday wish will have already started to take form: a culture war.

OT but deserving of a link.
The official RCMP policy on the gun registry, and having their members give their personal opinions.

Happy Birthday - Now retire!
63! The dude is old.

with Iffy's culture war full steam ahead,
I wonder how Iffy's appointed Liberal caucus chair on the 'newly formed committee' called ''Faith Communities'', John McKay,
is feeling about being demonized by his own....??
Oh my gawd,
Last year Iffy participated in a session of dialogue and debate organized by the Canadian Council of Churches.
The religious right will take over if Iffy is ever PM!!! Be Afraid (as Wherry says)
And how about NDP Joe Comartin,
Faith and Social Justice Commission, who said:
“We are going back to our roots,” Comartin says.
“The CCF-NDP was created in large measure by people who were trying to put their religious faith into action, and for many of us faith remains the main motivator for how we practice politics and make policy..''
Did yah get that?
NDP Comartin said:
'..for many of us faith remains the main motivator for how we practice politics and make policy..''
Liberals want a coalition with the scary religious NDP...the media just won't talk about it!
Yeah happy birthday Iggster, have a Stoli and ball park doggie on me. I'm sure you won't be eatin' mash with cakes and syrup will ya? (real conservative)
