Mr. Iffy goes to China.

Mr. Iffy has decided to go to China; again.

A feeling of deja vu overcomes me.

June 22, 2010 : "During a waterfront news conference, Mr. Ignatieff chided the federal government for inaction on its relationship with China, suggesting Prime Minister Stephen Harper neglected China by waiting too long to travel there."

Just a little reminder from Sept 1, 2009: Michael Ignatieff "Stephen Harper has been prime minister for four years, and he’s never visited China. We’ll be there next week. After that, we’ll plan a trip to India."

But on Sept 2, 2009, yes 1 day later: Ignatieff flip flops and cancels his trip to China that he described as being "imperative".

Now 10 month later, 7 months after PM Harper visited China, Ignatieff decides that he will make that "imperative" trip in a desperate attempt to appear relevant on the world stage. Maybe he can discuss his plans to stop a new terminal being built in BC whose main purpose is selling oil to China and getting it there.

BC Blue has some similar thoughts.

Maybe he has been summoned to China by Uncle MO to explain why he has not been getting those millions in carbon credits promised by JC.
Isn't the President of China in Canada now.

think perhaps the Ottawa liberal ties to this most secretive republic, is cause for some concern - has anyone been selling us out, for a few favors ? - all the while carrying on about another party's "secret agenda" ?

It is likely a job interview. In a Poll over forty per cent felt he would not be able to keep his job after the election.

It is smart planning after his failed stint leader of the official opposition. Don't you think?

It is all so sad. Ignatieff is playing catch up with PM Harper on the world stage.

I'm all for sending Mr. Ignatieff to China, I'm not sure I want him to come back though.

I expect the Prez of China has a few choice words for Mr. Ignatieff; like, China has just invested $6 billion is the Sands and now you want to stop the Pacific pipeline, why I otta kung fu you up side the head...you little piece of shit...

It is very simple for the liberals not to have a policy of their own-just take from others make a few changes here and there and the media to break the news as though it is the first time news of this is the heard nevertheless it has been done before.

The trick is: whatever the prime minister is doing that sounds good is not to be broadcasted but, to save it for the liberals to use.

Seems strange that Count Iffy is off visiting China when the Chinese President is visiting Canada.
LIEberals, always going off in the wrong direction.
