Maybe now the CBC will cover the Libby Davies story.

Bob Rae has put the CBC in a bad position with his press release today, calling for deputy NDP Libby Davies to step down, because now they will have to cover her disturbing comments which up until this point the CBC have totally ignored. (Note: The National Post appears to be the only MSM outlet to cover Libby's remarks.)





I guess when you have most of your reporters covering KoryVision and typos on web pages, little things like a deputy party leader saying that Israel is not a legitimate state get missed.

The PM has also called for Davies to be fired but I don't expect that to carry as much weight with the CBC as a Liberal Party press release, which seems to be where the CBC gets most of its stories from.

Like fellow moonbat Heather Mallick it seems that Maude Barlow is also ashamed to be Canadian.

From the Globe: "I am personally ashamed of my country as I travel internationally. Liberal Senator Céline Hervieux-Payette goes off the deep end again.

Liberal Senator Céline Hervieux-Payette is at it again. Yesterday Hervieux-Payette filed a complaint with the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council against the CTV network and Robert Fife claiming biased reporting on the part of CTV.

There is so much here I am not sure where to start. This woman has truly gone off the deep end.

First on her claim against CTV she states that “CTV tried to convince Canadians that Liberal senators killed Bill C-25 and supported criminals. CTV claimed that Conservative senators wanted to support the bill, while they clearly refused to do so. This is false. In fact, Conservative senators blocked debate and suspended the work of the Senate for 10 days but CTV misrepresented these facts as reported by Canadian Press.” First off why is she going after the CTV when they were reporting facts as reported by the CP? Should she not be going after them? Secondly, yes the conservatives did refuse a request to debate the bill but she is purposely leaving out some very important information about this. The bill that they wanted to debate was not the original bill, it was the one that was already amended by a handful of Liberals. Why in the world would any conservative senator want to debate the AMENDED bill by the Liberals and not the one that went through Parliament and had received UNANIMOUS approval. A little detail left out that means everything to the context of her claims.

She is grasping at straws and is going to look very foolish with her attacks on CTV but Hervieux-Payette is not done yet. In her press release she says the following: “We are dealing with a Conservative government that manipulates the Canadian public by putting its party`s logo on government cheques, models the symbols used by our Olympic athletes on its own logo, sweeps reports on torture in Afghanistan under the carpet and conducts misleading advertising campaigns … and CTV is paid to broadcast these schemes.”

Lets break this down. “We are dealing with a Conservative government that manipulates the Canadian public by putting its party`s logo on government cheques." Pure BS. This did not happen and there is no basis for the claim unless Hervieux-Payette somehow believes that those 2 giant novelty cheques were really issued by the government and are legal tender, otherwise this is nothing more than an outright lie. Either way it does not look good on her.

"models the symbols used by our Olympic athletes on its own logo" OMG, she actually went there. This one has already been dis proven so long ago that even Hedy Fry has walked away from it because of its foolishness. Really, I have to question anyone's sanity who tries to argue this one with a straight face after hearing from all those involved in the logo design and selection process. It is a lie and not a very good one at that.

And perhaps the best for last: "...and CTV is paid to broadcast these schemes." Read that again. "...and CTV is paid to broadcast these schemes." Wow! Reading this it looks to me as if she is claiming that the CTV is being paid (by someone, we don't know who) to broadcast these conservative "schemes" onto an unsuspecting public. I could be wrong but I don't read it any other way and I hope Hervieux-Payette has a good lawyer because that claim goes way over the top and it would be easy for CTV to claim damage to their reputation because of it.

Is there not anyone on the Liberal side who looks at this stuff before it gets out there to the public? I know things are a bit shaky over at the OLO at this point, but come on. She is making you look like fools.

It was announced today that the so called "Liberal Mole" has been laid off. The current recession was cited as the reason Mr.Mole was being let go, but insiders suggest that his position recently has become redundant since this guy assumed the leadership of the LPC.





The mole was good, said the insider, but the new guy is even better. It really is too bad the recession made us have to cut one of them.

Bill Casey Honourary Green and other GP News

Green Party leader Elizabeth May announced that her party considers Independent Member of Parliament Bill Casey "an honourary Green". The Green Party of Canada and its Electoral District Association in Cumberland—Colchester—Musquodoboit Valley will not be opposing the re-election of Mr Casey.

I think Elizabeth May might be angling for the 'real' first Green MP. I wonder if she can convince her good buddy Stephane Dion to not run a Liberal in the riding.

"The Green Party has announced that John Shavluk will not be the candidate for the party in Newton—North Delta, following revelations that he made comments in 2006 on an online discussion forum that are anti-Semitic."

I guess now he will have all the extra time he needs to get to the bottom of what really happened on Sept 11, 2001.

Let's force those MSM lackeys to run with what has to be the biggest story of the year, and please try to ignore the Liberals who are trying to spin this; so far they have two responses to this Freudian slip.

First of all, if it is no big deal then why doesn't Dion say it all the time? Clearly he knows that this is not something Canadians would appreciate. Yes, it is similar to when journalists refer to the "so called war on terror". They are not saying there is no war on terror, but neither are they saying that there is a "war on terror". "So called" clearly suggests a certain cynicism about the subject under discussion.

The second excuse is even worse. You don't go around saying "so called left wing" unless you have a reason for saying it. My suspicion is that Dion often says this in private and made a mistake by saying it in public. That is why he did not and likely will never repeat the phrase. There is no doubt in my mind that Dion recognized almost immediately that he said something he should not have said. The fact that he tried to cover up his error does not change the fact that he gave us a momentary glimpse into his psyche.


Wouldn't it be great if I could get the PM to include this quote into an official government document somehow? But I doubt that it would be an easy task, because what type of a moron would use spin like this without checking out the facts first? (edit: Link to Stephane Dion removed)

Rick Mercer must be some kind of seer of the Canadian political scene, and frankly his Nostradamus like powers scare me.

It is the only logical explanation, otherwise how could the second segment from The Rick Mercer Report that aired earlier tonight on the CBC possibly be explained?

Sometime recently he had the "vision", perhaps while he was in the centrifuge or perhaps it was in a dream, but at some point Rick Mercer foresaw the future. Then he rented a choir, some acrobats, a couple of unicycle riding jugglers, procured some low budget but flashy pyrotechnic devices, rehearsed what by Canadian television standards would have to be called an extravagant musical number, filmed it all, did the editing and still managed to get it to air the same day as the Federal Budget comes out.

How did he know Dion would again cave? I mean with Liberal MPs, all of of the bloggers who thought otherwise, , and MSM pundits thinking an election was near; how could Rick Mercer know this in advance? And will he promise to only use this power for good and not evil? That my friends is the real question.


I think after I call CSIS, I am going to line my walls with tinfoil and hope Rick Mercer doesn't mind being exposed.

Anteater Worldwide Media™ has learned that the self proclaimed protector of the charter, Stephane Dion, is going to announce more flip flops rights based policy very soon.

Using some of the same justifications he has already given for whipping the Liberals against extending 2 provisions from the ATA, that individual rights are always more important than safety, Mr.Dion is expected to announce the first of many policies beginning with the following obtained by AWM™ from leaked documents:

"All forms of random roadside impaired driving spot check programs will be canceled, as they are an extreme use of police powers that infringe upon the basic rights of Canadians. It is an abuse of the charter to randomly stop anyone without just cause, and even if these programs are for public safety and considered to be a reasonable infringement on charter rights by the Supreme Court, we can not risk the conservative government to have such a power."

Follow up policies are to include:

The elimination of seat belts from automobiles and aircraft that are now ruthlessly imposed on industry by draconian Transport Canada regulations.

Removal of any laws dealing with conspiracy where no crime has yet been committed. Free speech is an absolute right and just because a couple of people are drawing up or discussing plans to kill someone or even everyone, there is no reason for the State to infringe on their free speech with these type of fascist laws in the name of so called safety.

*The elimination of all type of helmet laws for not only toboggans, but also bicycles and motorcycles, and banning any law demanding the use of child safety seats. Because the beer and popcorn crowd are limiting the rights of bouncing babies everywhere to bounce freely.

*It is noted in the leaked document that while these types of laws are provincial responsibilities; that it has never stopped the Liberals in the past from getting involved, and that they are willing to use the not withstanding clause in an effort to make sure our rights are not trampled on in the name of safety.

As I watched a news conference yesterday where Stephane Dion said a few interesting things in his attack on the Government and Prime Minister Harper, I couldn't help but notice that Dion dragged out an old, tired, and purposely misleading statement attributed to the PM about greenhouse gasses. "He spoke about the 'so-called greenhouse gas emissions only weeks ago", Dion said while referring to PM Harper in an effort to paint the PM as a non believer in climate change contrary to what the PM has since stated.

Here is Harpers original response to a question about how his government plan was different than that of the opposition, you be the judge. "As we implement our clean-air agenda, the focus is a little different than the other parties. They focus only on so-called greenhouse gases and ignored smog entirely."

I did not have time to blog on the subject right after watching Dion try to mislead Canadians, but since then a few others have noticed and addressed the subject better than I could have, and the issue was discussed when the original quote was made back on December 14th, so I will leave it at that.

There is something else though I would like to discuss, and it came to my attention while I was looking at this poor excuse of a strategy from Dion and the Liberals, and it ties in nicely with what I had posted about yesterday, the Great Blogging Tory Conspiracy.

To sum it up, Jason Cherniak was making accusations about the Blogging Tories (BT) having some kind of coordinated effort and "campaign to assassinate the good character of Stéphane Dion". My post of course was a parody of just how ridiculous this notion was and I was not alone in that opinion; even in his own comments section Jason takes a beating on the idea. Yet, in the face of everything he still wants to believe that when Dion or any Liberal does something stupid that any of the BT's are not capable of noticing and commenting on their own, it must be some kind of coordinated effort and conspiracy.

As crazy as it sounds I think I might have figured out why he is bothered by this so much. First off it is because in general his guy Dion is looking bad. Remember those post convention polls putting the Liberals ahead that they were so proud of? Well that lead not only disappeared it turned into a 7 -10 point loss for Dion and his pipe dream team, and you know that has to hurt. A downturn like that MUST be the result of a coordinated campaign, as it couldn't be Dion the Pures fault?

The other reason I believe that this "coordinated" effort is bothering him is that it is something that he would have liked to accomplish, but has not been able to do, but not for lack of trying. In other words, it looks like he has tried himself to do what he has accused the BT's of actually doing. Before you turn the channel and figure I have my foil hat on too tight, lets take a look at a something I found today after Dion pulled out the 'so called' half quote.

It would seem that Jason was a bit upset that this non story never made it to MSM and wished to "force" them to pick up on it by coordinating an effort of liberal bloggers to write about it. I like this line the best, "It is the sort of thing that the MSM should be forced to pick up.", damn the facts, just get it out there. The MSM didn't bite, as there was no meat to the story and the attempt at a coordinated effort failed, or at least so I thought until Dion tried to pass of the same crap early yesterday at his news conference. Are the Liberals really that desperate that Dion has to use discredited talking points from Jason Cherniak?

There you have it conspiracy fans, what looks to be an actual attempt to heard cats, err I mean coordinate bloggers. It didn't work, and now it seems that Jason is upset that in his mind the BT's have succeeded where he failed and is trying to expose a conspiracy where none exists.

Hey Jason, allow me to let you in on some things. Most political bloggers do have some integrity, yes even Liberal ones as well, and these types of things are almost guaranteed to be exposed and fail in the end, such is the nature of blogging. The other thing is that the reason the BT's are having success where the Liblogs haven't is that we are working with better material. Dion is a dream come true for us, where as PM Harper is a nightmare for Liberals.

It really is that simple, and these Liberal 'Campaign of Fear'™ type tactics are not going to work, but keep trying as it makes our job on the other side all that much easier.

We have been discovered!!

Yes, the jig is up and the cat is out of the bag as Jason Cherniak has discovered the existence of our great right wing Blogging Tory conspiracy and our "campaign to assassinate the good character of Stéphane Dion". There is no use in going to Code Level Blue, which has worked so well in the past to cover our tracks, because some of our fellow bloggers have already started to sing like canary's about our little secret.

So my co-conspirators I ask you this. Do we get upset and whine about it, or do we decide that it is time for action and do our best to figure out how we were discovered? I say we find out what went wrong, correct the problems, and work harder together so next time our evil plans can be carried through to their RIGHTful conclusions. The Hotline at Blogging Tory HQ has been ringing off the hook today with possible theories as to how we were discovered, and as a public service I will bring a few of these theories forward.

First off I think that it is safe to say that our encrypted communications remain secure. For example when the Khan floor crossing was confirmed to all of us in the memo just before Christmas, it wasn't revealed to the world until Steven got the go ahead from HQ on January 4th. There was some worry as to how Scott Reid found out about it in advance, but considering that Dion didn't have a clue it has been dismissed as just another case of Scott Reid just making stuff up as he goes along.

There was some worry that perhaps our secret handshake has been compromised as well after that famous incident last fall at the conspiracy conference in Banff when Kate had a little too much to drink and started shooting at Chucker when he made that comment about potholes in Saskatchewan. Wow, that RCMP Constable never knew what to think when Giuliano Zaccardelli and Vic Toews showed up in person and let Kate out of jail. I have it on good authority that even though the handshakes took place in public, those that witnessed it have been permanently relocated.

Another theory is that during the annual fishing trip this year that a certain group of our members were spotted together and security was compromised. To refresh some of your memories it was just after Loyola Hearn was again bragging about getting the largest fish of the day, when General Hillier and Gordon O'Conner grabbed some of those 'fishing' grenades and started lobbing them at Stock on his jet ski. In all the confusion it was appears only Jarrett noticed the guy paddling in the canoe on the other side of the bay with the cheesy looking porn mustache. This one has some possibilities and requires more investigation.


My own theory was that we were compromised during the summer at the function Craig Smith
held in late July. If you remember it was later in the evening after the indoctrination sessions for us new bloggers had taken place when Pierre Bourque gave us the news that the hot tub was out of order as somehow there were a couple of bikini tops stuck in the hot tubs plumbing. So far so good, but when the unionised plumber showed up in a smart car instead of an old Chevy van I think some questions should have been asked. I do not want to be harsh and I am not blaming Joanne, Sarah, Ruth, Carolyn, or any of the other ladies who were present that day as it was not their fault, but just because Peter Mackay was tossing out Mardi Gras beads again is not a reason to lose your composure and potentially cause a break down in security.

I do hope this security situation gets resolved as quickly as possible, as we were just about to unveil phase 2 of our plan. I have been informed that the 'compromising' pictures of Peter Mansbridge have now been photo shopped correctly, unlike the famous Christmas picture, and we will now have the CBC completely in our pockets.


For those out there that doubt what I have just written is true, I swear on my fathers grave that there is as much truth in this post as there is in the conspiracy theory itself.

Today the laugh a minute former temporary leader of the LPC, Bill Graham, compared the Conservative Government to Nazis, stating "The government members in this House behave as if they were reading from a textbook written by Mr. Goebbels when he was preparing for power in Germany," "It's disgraceful. . . It's dishonourable. . ."

This guy has a career in comedy locked up when the voters of his riding decide to send him packing. Just yesterday I wrote about another joke that Graham made in a speech at the LPC leadership convention last Friday; where rumour has it he was given a nice torch light parade by some of the delegates. This Graham guy is hilarious. If he would just mess up his hair a bit more he could be Canada's answer to Kramer or maybe he is just a Dick.

Canada should be looking beyond the US for trading partners or so says Liberal blogger Werner Patels. Included in among his reasons for doing so is because this woman "is showing more and more of her hostility towards Canada in her remarks."

I know it is hard to believe but Judge Judy has become anti-Canadian and now we must take our trade elsewhere.

Shocked? I know I am as this development in Canada US relations was previously unknown by myself, and I am sure it was to many others as well.

There is more including "the Americans violated a post-1812 treaty and commenced military operations in the Great Lakes region, poisoning Canadians' lake water with tons of lead in the process." and this bit "The Bush administration is playing nicy-nice with Stephen Harper, but once Harper's back is turned, out come the daggers from behind."


I leave will leave you to be the ''judge" if we should drop those Canadian haters to the south, but will offer one last bit of advice. Gerard, this guy looks like cabinet material so you had better snap him up before one of the other leadership candidates grabs him for themselves.

Al Jazeera aired a video of the preparations for the Sept. 11 attacks in which Osama bin Laden can be seen meeting with some of the planners and hijackers in Afghanistan. The video included the statements of two of the hijackers, Wail al-Shehri and Hamza al-Ghamdi.
