Ignatieff flip flops on Jaffer. More Liberal games.

7 months ago the Jaffer arrest was considered to be a private matter for Ignatieff and the opposition; they felt sorry for those involved and they vowed not to play games with it.

Today, not so much.

News that Rahim Jaffer was arrested broke Sept 16, 2009.

Michael Ignatieff had this to say Sept 17, 2010.

"This is an unfortunate matter," said Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff. "This is a man who held public trust and it's before the courts and I have no further comment to make about it."

Another story (also Sept 17, 2010) adds this interesting bit of trivia.

An adviser in Ignatieff's office said he has instructed his MPs not to discuss or attempt to make a political issue out of the matter.

Don't make this a political issue the OLO says.

April 18, 2010. (Highlighting mine if that isn't already obvious).

"the key issue here is the prime minister's judgment."

After Jaffer's arrest in September, Ignatieff wondered about Harper's response. "Did he call in Helena Guergis? Did he say, 'what's going on here?' What is the nature of Mr. Jaffer's business relationships? How could he possibly be accused of cocaine possession? Is there any connection to you in any way?'"

"Seven months ago he should have been asking those questions," Ignatieff added. "We don't know whether he did. This thing has gone on for seven months with increasing questions about his judgment, his handling of the whole affair."

Well, I don't want to make false accusations, but you don't get cocaine at a corner drugstore, right. You have to get it from somewhere, from someone, and usually that means organized crime."

Then don't make false allegations you disingenuous "genius" and if you "wondered" about all of this back in September, why the hell didn't you bring it up then? Stop playing games.

Helena needs to sue this fool. He has made statements outside of parliament making accusations.

The liar comment is a slam dunk. I hear Rahim has a good lawyer, maybe he might take this on.

I have disclosed in my blog that I have Michael Ignatieff in my back pocket.. And although there is no evidence to substantiate that, and that I in fact have immediately confirmed that my statement is untrue - I'm assuming that a full inquiry will be required.

I'll see you all in the Globe!

Iggy is finished. Like I said many times around her already, his best before date is coming up fast now. I'm more pissed at the media and something has to be done about them. (real conservative)

Iggy's best before date is coming up fast, so I'm not worried about him. It's the media that pisses me off and something needs to be done about them. (real conservative)

"'s before the courts and I have no further comment to make about it." - Ignatishift

No further comment ... my ass ... yesterday on CTV he was implying that Helena and Rahim were linked to organized crime.

Some one is bound to get sued over all this "busty hooker" slander, I just wonder who it will be ?

" Well, I don't want to make false accusations, but...."

I'm totally disgusted by Iggy's drive-by references to a link between anybody and organized crime. What about Bob Rae's connections to a convicted pedophile and a shady union boss? Check out this article

The union boss, Cliff Evans, who Rae appointed to the Ontario Pension Commission, was recently convicted of violating the Pension Benefits Act with his "creative" investments in the pedophile's businesses.

Jean Chretien himself partied with the by then defrocked "Father Fingers" at one of his seedy hotels back in 1995.

I wonder why the msm aren't talking about these connections?

I'm still wanting to know where all that $140 Million AdScam money went because not one Liberal has come forward to aid the RCMP or the Tax payers who got $crewed out of the money.
If Iggy doesn't like Canada's Court system or how the SCOC rules on Personal Search Rights, then he can go back to the USA where he spent about 28 years pretending to be morally superior and avoided boasting he was Canadian.

Where was this outrage when a MP was caught on a video stealing a $60'000.00 item and then cried on TV to blame the theft on Homophobia.
Yes folks.....Light-fingers Svend Robinson was allowed to run as a MP in BC under Layton's reign.
So basically, allegations for Heterosexuals are considered a given for Guilt, yet a video of the theif and his admission to the theft is not really deemed "Guilty".

Charles Adler today had a good rant about the so called Jaffer/Guergis scandal. Calls it crap at the very end of his rant.
