The PM goes to Afghanistan.

The PM goes to Afghanistan and leaves the safety of the Kandahar base to tour the good work we are doing in that country, while back in Ottawa Michael Ignatieff is still hiding under his desk.

Joanne at Blue Like You was thinking the same thing @ the same time. LOL, great minds =)

Man, we even published that at almost the exact same moment. I've got a chill running up and down my spine.

God works in MYSTERIOUS WAYS.

Some CTV anchorman today said that the troops were not interested in what the prime minister had to say.
Also he hinted that PM's surprise visit was just for photo-op.

Comments like that is a direct slap to our men women in uniform and to the prime minister.

I am willing to bet the mortgage that the anchor has never put on a uniform.

Of course the troops want to know what the PM has to say about the mission since they are the ones have to carry out the wishes of his government. Or does that make too much sense for the media to understand?

Joanne it looks like we posted about 1 minute apart. You must have got your talking points memo at the same time I did ;)

To clarify for those not bright enough to get it, the memo bit was a joke.

I saw a video clip of Harper was serving coffee. There was a huge lineup. They got to meet him and have their picture taken with him.

Joanne, where did you see that video clip?

If that was the 408 Helicopter Squadron from Alberta that flew him to the dam, I'm sure they're real proud. Their motto is "For Freedom" and the design on their herald is the Canadian goose.

Spin all you want lefties but PM Harper wins the day hands down over Ignatieff, who is still busy cleaning Dion's gum out from under the desk at the OLO.
