MP Peter Stoffer and some common sense.

Someone is going to be in the NDP doghouse.

N.S. MP Peter Stoffer disagrees with his leader's stand on rejecting the upcoming federal budget sight unseen.

Stoffer told 'The Afternoon News" radio show host Tom Young, that his party should 'wait and see what is in the budget' before rejecting it sight unseen.

Stoffer indicated he would raise his concerns over Layton's stand at the NDP's caucus meeting next week.

I think if we dig deep enough more cats in the NDP caucus would agree with Stoffer.

Layton's history...bring on Howard Hampton!

He happens to be my MP and an election or two back (I forget now, there has been so many), I asked how he wound up in the NDP since he actually shows signs of common sense. How, I asked, does your head not explode every time you walk into a caucus meeting and see that blight on the reputation of used car salesmen sitting there at the head of the table.

But what was the answer, Atlantic Jim. I agree, he does from time to time show signs of sanity, and relations between him and MPs from other parties are apparently very cordial. But there must be some kind of disconnect here.
