Bareass Bob wants to be the first, but his biggest worry right now is McKenna. The longer it takes to get the starting gun fired, the more time Frank has to get his ducks in a row. Bob would be decimated if the race was between Iggy, himself and Frankie. He needs to to be a contest of two.
His worry is that Frankie looks much more promising to Power Corp and being only a recently converted liberal, knows that blood relations only go so far.

Where's Joe Volpe? The race won't be the same without him.

Wasn't it BOB RAE who bankrupted Ontario and no mention of it regularly on MSM. Why?

3 words for McKenna

French, Meech, abortion

Any one of the three would sink him, so he is just stroking his ego right now. No way he'll actually go for it.

Where's Brian Tobin? The guy was all over the TV during the election and could get the Chretien machine behind him.

My guess is that it will not be Iggy or Rae that come out first. I doubt either one of these 2 want the optics of being first out of the gate.

I hope Dominic announces, I would never vote for him but the liberals have to get a leader that is not from Que or Ontario. They will not sell in the ROC, but Dominic might send a message that Yes, the liberals have listened, (HA) and will change directions. From such a small province, the seats he would win don't matter.
Dominic is good looking, young, has a good voice and doesn't grate on a person when speaking.
Iggy is too sneaky, watch his body language and facial expressions when he speaks. Would Dominic win, I don't know, but he might get the younger generation involved.
I also get the impression he would be willing to wait, and learn, and work on new policies and not be in a hurry to bring down PMSH.
As the media spends all its time on the race, it gives PMSH time to do his thing and run the country.

Iggy just said he is talking to members of caucus, McGuinty says he doubled his vote, only liberal to do so, so is interested. His riding will only be able to send x number of delegates so how many voted for him is a non issue. Canada is a huge country, so what happens in his riding is of no concern to me in AB.
If Iggy/Rae are not first and second, the message will be, look at me, those others in the race are non winners. If one of them is first, the message will be, hey, it is my turn, everyone else stay out.

It looks like the 5 people who voted for Leblanc were the winners.
