Michael Ignatieff: great moments in arrogance

Michael Ignatieff: “I don’t need to prove anything to anybody.”

Um, you do if you want to get elected* you arrogant jackass.

* not having ever won a nomination race in his life might explain his arrogance, but it does not excuse it.

Update: more from MI as he criticizes the government for focusing on jobs and not the deficit as he announces that the Liberals will focus on jobs and not the deficit. Got that?

Did you watch the Soloman interview today? I am starting to turn a corner on E-Solo. He's really easy to make fun because he makes no attempt to hide his partisanship. He gives me things to write about, and he is a terrible spokesperson for the left wing.

I have not watched the show live yet and have only checked out the online versions because of what I have read in the blogs and wanted to see for myself.

And that is why even the media refer to him as Iffy.

I think Donolo's assignment to turn Iffy into a winning politician is not going to be on his CV 5 years from now.

I watch Tom Clark and Soloman on split-channels frequently, as it gives me ammunition to write letters to the editors.
There are some evenings, I am absolutely appauled at the obvious bias but I persevere.
I for the life of me, don't understand how other people can't cipher the flat out lie's that we are being fed. I'm convinced these guys either require the services of a psychiatrist or a proctologist, perhaps both ends should be covered - just in case!

If you weren't watching Soloman you would have missed this, but they went live to Harper giving a fantastic press conference live in Copenhagen. He was doing so well that the CBC cuts away from the live international press conference on the world stage by our Prime Minister to go live to Soloman and Barton in studio slamming the treaty.

The CBC needs to issue some pink slips. But I do enjoy the Lang and O'Leary exchange.

I wonder what IFFY's answer to the outcome of Copenhagen will be.
Come on Iffy, do tell. Your bullying, Obama adoring MP's, (and siblings) have been obscenely critical of the Government. Are you going to flip flop on that file too?

I am giddy with joy at the outcome of Copenhagen.
Bring on the Fossil Awards, we have a Government to be proud of for sticking to the economic well being of it's own citizens.

(sorry about the o/t, AA!)

On the subject of Evan Soloman - I think he's doing a great job vs. Tom Clark.

Which isn't saying much.

Sadly.

Both shows are over by the time I get home, and for that, I am truly thankful!

But Ardvark, you don't understand, his ancestors had three acres of potatoes and yours only had two.
He is entitled.

There is a line in one of the many interviews Ignatieff did today where he talks about having stamina and his grueling schedule.

Grueling schedule? The guy has been almost invisible for the last few weeks. Funny thing though, the less Canadians see of him the better he polls. I wonder why that is (sarc off)

The Iggomaniac is such a walking contradiction that it is a wonder that he hasn't split himself in two deciding which side of the bed to get out of. At his scrum-come- news conference today (I wonder if he was PM would he formulate policy on the basis of which doofus reporter asked him the most pointed question the way Paul martin used to do?)he castigated Stephen Harper for saying he would wait until the U.S. set its policy and then he would tailor Canada's to suit. In the next breath he was asking how the provinces could be expected to come up with a climate change policy without the leadership of the Federal Government. Obviously, what's bad for the goose is not bad for the other goose.

Bec, Donolo hasn't given Iffy permission to give an answer. I can, though, imagine what the sainted Dr Suzuki's reaction will be.

Dion would have been in Copenhagen. Why didn't Ignatieff go?

Ardvark said...

Thinking about it, were there ANY Liberal MPs there?

Layton, May, and to-spite a certain Liberal photoshop contest, even the PM made it.

Where was Iggy and his big brain in Copenhagen?

Great moments in saying things twice the IFFY way "We're going to have a jobless recovery or we're going to have a recovery where there's still a lot of people looking for jobs."

Great quote Michael, glad to see that comm help is, um, working.

Apparently the liberals are livid over an e-mail sent to Conservative MP's mocking iggys refusal to answer why he want to be PM. They ask, how low can they go. Well they have a long way to go to beat the assassination of our PM.
