Kinsella sues again

and again and again.

His latest can be read here: Paradis Libel Notice

Am I missing something here? How is that statement quoted in any way libelous?

Update: There is more than 1 person claiming that the above obscure reference is referring to them.

I Googled the quote as listed in the libel notice since the it made the following claim:

"The words complained of were accurately published by various media sources and therefore constitute a broadcast. The words complained of were picked up by various news wire services and were spread throughout the world on the world wide web."

I got exactly 1 hit! That one hit being Ezra's latest blog post which quotes the libel notice itself.

It has gone viral I tell you, viral!

Care to explain it to me than Matlock?

Is he not a Former Chretien backroom organizer? And as for the disgraced part, that is in the eye of the beholder, no?

Kinsella is getting desperate. Like his employers.

Seems to me it was Kinsella who was dumb enough to actually launch the lawsuit. If he actually follows through with it, I just might send him a fruit basket as it will re-open all the old Adscam wounds.

Thanks Warren!

How many lawsuits is he juggling at this moment? It's like trying to eat a turkey in one bite.

W Kinsella has always been a Chretien man and he hates Paul Martin.

Ignatieff has always been a Martin man and owes his job and his current leaders title to Martin's people.

Does the word 'sabotage' come to mind for anyone?

Though I'm no lawyer, that was my reaction as well, Ardvark. Maybe Devo can enlighten us as to how that statement constitutes libel so we'll all know a lot better about under what conditions we are permitted to call somebody a disgrace.

The only people enjoying all of these legal actions are his lawyers.

I consider it a mini Liberal stimulus package.

Gawd that's funny!!

I love it when Liberals talk about Adscam and disgrace Liberals.

Those Liberals are so entertaining.

Slander obviously is humourous and makes for great bloggingtories sport. You show me where in the Gomery report that Justice Gomery makes any finding that Kinsella was a "key sponsorship figure". You won't find it because it does not exist. This big-mouth Tory slandered Kinsella and Kinsella is entitled to have his good name back.

Reading is not a Liberal strong point I see.

"First Michael Ignatieff brought back disgraced Chretien backroom organizer Warren Kinsella and now he has welcomed a key Sponsorship Scandal figure into his inner circle.

Please note the "first" and the "and now" parts, they are a "key" component to the statement. It should be obvious that this is not referring to the same person, but hey the recession is hurting lawyers too so have at it.

Interestingly enough,Beryl Wajsman "banned for life" from the Liberal Party seems to be saying that the phrase in question may be referring to him.

It can't be both, can it?

I knew when I read that quote (on Warren Kinsella's blog, BTW) that Paradis was talking about Wajsman. Wajsman's return was in the news last week.

Re: Legal notice to M. Christian Paradis MP from Quebec.

Please tell me that this latest salvo of legalese trivialization just fired by that there warrin' dimfella has the appropriate FRENCH version attached.

*Please* tell me that dimfella and his yorkville street-legalers are not really *that* obtuse and dim-witted. Or is it just me?? Isn't there some kind of law that requires bilingual correspondence when it comes to legal documents.

If this notice proves to be strictly unilingual, is this to be construed as yet another example of dimfella's alleged racist disregard for those he has deemed not to be "his" kind of people?

Or does the legal firm's "French-calibrated fax unit" not function on week-ends?

Will the real franco-fax be transmitted later, on Monday, sometime, once they get a French version, that is.
