Representatives of all 7200 Alberta doctors call for a proper health inquiry.

Representatives of all 7200 Alberta doctors call for a proper health inquiry.

"In a strongly worded statement that accuses the government of “stonewalling” and brushing over an “inconvenient truth” on the eve of an election, physician representatives of all 7,200 provincial doctors are calling on Albertans to bring in a “tsunami of change” and demand a public health inquiry into the issue of physician intimidation."

Having written the terms of  reference so narrow that it is all but impossible for an inquiry to even consider looking at bullying and intimidation in healthcare, it is clear that Premier Redford is trying to whitewash the entire thing.

Who are you going to believe? Redford or our physicians?

I know who I trust more.

Bring on the tsunami.

Update: Corbella: MLAs paid nearly 1 million dollars after 14 minutes of work.

'And yet Prins, who is paid $18,000 a year to chair the standing committee on privileges and elections, standing orders and printing, was quoted in Friday’s Herald saying: “I have done nothing wrong. Why would I give money back?”
It’s an outrageous statement and highlights his overblown sense of entitlement.'

Braid's latest on the mighty tsunami election battle.  (Love the picture of Redford they used)

PC supporters. Please tell me again why I should vote for them?

My favorite line from the Herald article is this : “There are active attempts to bamboozle the public and to get them to believe that this is a trivial issue. We five are standing here and saying it is not” Maybaum said”. It’s that word “bamboozle” that describes what the PC’s have been doing for years
The PC henchmen have to be going ballistic over this one. These catastrophic events are really piling up, and deservedly so. These characters have gone long enough thinking that they are “be all and end all” of everything that goes on in this province. That’s how they see themselves and it’s an absolute joke.
Times Up For The PC’s.

With the doctors joining in, along with some of our media and the Opposition Parties, this is developing into a full court press on the PCs. Let's hope some more third parties join in.

Kudos to the docs for pushing back on their overlords. They are obviously credible and trustworthy. We still don't know if a version of Ontario's "Working Family Coalition" will emerge during the campaign.

I am not the biggest fan of the doctor's union but in this instance I would agree with them. IF it can be shown that an inquiry is needed then let's have a thorough one that examines the whole system including the doctor's and nurses union, government policy, procedures etc. The only inquiry we don't need is the one Alison REDford is pushing re queue jumping. Given the level of incompetence and malfeasance on Alison's part it is evident to me that the time has come to TURF THE TORIES.

Whenever I receive a brochure printed on costly glossy paper exhorting me to buy something or promoting an idea I'm immediately suspicious of the sender's ostensible or possible predatory intent.

In a similar vein, Alison Redford's speeches are cleverly crafted to promote the illusion that there is community participation in the decision-making process, while in fact well-informed and concerned citizens are being silenced.

A pertinent quote:

"Truth has simple elegance and restraint to it. Sometimes it can be a little rough because the truth doesn't spend as much time in makeup as lies do. Lies require cosmetics and strategic lighting. Truth possesses its own beauty, without the need for any artifacts and produces its own light."

Conservatives are corrupt. They should have been thrown out of office during the little drunk premier's tenure.
