BC Opposition MP's want the evil Stephen Harper to do their bidding.

Liberal Joyce Murray (Vancouver Quadra) and New Democrat Libby Davies (Vancouver East) want the PM to contact International Olympic Committee president Jacques Rogge and personally intervene, where the PM has no business getting involved, to resolve a dispute over the exclusion of female ski jumpers at next month's Winter Olympics.

Yes, these 2 MP's, one a Liberal and the other an NDP, want the Prime Minister of Canada to abuse his power, over step his bounds, and bully the International Olympic Committee on how to run their OWN event, on something that the Supreme Court of Canada has already ruled in favour of the IOC on.

These are the same people who have already looked foolish with the FALSE claims that the logo chosen by the Canadian Olympic Committee was influenced by the CPC, and also claimed, and again were proven wrong, that the route for the torch relay was also politically motivated.

Some days you just have to wonder just what is going on in the minds of the opposition in this country. Actually it is not 'some days' but everyday that these fools are in front of the press with their latest that make you wonder.

Ujjal Dosanjh rejects our reality and substitutes his own.

The Liberal Party is all about lies and games. Take Liberal MP Ujjal Dosanjh's recent appearance on CTV's Power Play with Tom Clark on Nov, 10 2009 as an example. (Video @ bottom of post)

Here is what he had to say on the subject of 10%'ers: "The difference is most of the conservative 10 percenters for instance that come into my riding, at least 1 every month, have been personally attacking Michael Ignatieff for having stayed outside the country. I mean that is disgusting. That is not an appropriate use of the10 percenters. If the want to argue policy, if they want to argue ideas, if they want to attack what we stand for, ah..that is different. If you are spending money for purely partisan personal attacks, that is not acceptable and that is the problem with the Conservative 10 percenters."

Is he lying to your face or just the most unaware MP in Ottawa?

Sorry to be so blunt but how can Dosanjh actually sit there and say with a straight face that the Liberals do not send out partisan 10%'ers? That is beyond the realm of belief considering that Caroline Bennett was just forced to apologize for this particular 10 %'er using aboriginal children as pawns for political games while using the fake body bag scandal as cover.And who can forget the outrageous 10%'er Hedy Fry sent out slagging our military and implying that Canadians abroad feel shame for wearing OUR flag because Canada has a conservative government!


I should note that to my knowledge Hedy Fry has not yet apologized for this outrage.



These 2 examples are common knowledge, there are more including ones that attack Stephen Harper, and there is NO possible way that that Dosanjh did not know about these or the other partisan material coming from the brain trust of the Liberal Party. So what the hell was Dosanjh, a guy who won his seat by just 20 votes, doing other than playing political games for political gain? I await an answer, but I know that like an apology from Hedy Fry, I should not expect one anytime soon.


If the above was not enough proof of the games that the Liberals are trying to play, consider what Dosanjh had to say about prisoners in Afghanistan getting the H1N1 vaccine claiming that the government prioritized the prisoners ahead of Canadians at home.

"The question I have is. How come those men, ah you know robust men who are engaged against our soldiers and fighting our soldiers, how come they become the priority and ah men and women in this country, majority of them at this point, are not a priority and that is the mess this governement created."

Pathetic. Nobody believes that the conservatives would purposely put Taliban prisoners ahead of Canadians, but yet we have Dosanjh trying to spin it as if they did.

I just hope that when the next election does come that at least 20 people in Vancouver South come to their senses and change their vote too get rid of this guy and his smears.

BC Teachers, Wildrose, Ogopogologogate

I was out with the flu for a couple of days and need to catch up on a few thoughts.


So the BC Teachers union invites their members to the following event. "Teaching 2010 Resistance," aimed at developing ways to teach children about the dark side of the Olympic Games, to be held Oct. 28 at Lord Strathcona Elementary, is being organized by the Olympic Resistance Network and Teach2010.org, which calls itself "a collaborative website for teachers to post and find resources for teaching the 2010 Winter Olympics from a critical perspective."

If the BCTF's claims that this is not political agenda, but rather just an exercise in critical thinking are to be believed, then when can we expect to see the BCTF invite their members to teaching seminars on such topics as objections to gay marriage, or why global warming may just be the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on man kind take place? This reeks.

It is not all bad for Ed Stelmach; now when he is nervously looking over his shoulder he gets to see Danielle Smith right behind him rather than David Swann. Hey Swanny, all it would take would be a couple and BOOM, you are out of that cozy OLO office. Be careful.

How much will one picture cost? No really. What will be the total cost, paid for by the taxpayers of Canada, to proceed with all of the investigations that the Liberals are now asking for:

• the Liberals have filed dozens of complaints with the ethics commissioner,
• they have asked Elections Canada to begin an investigation,
• they have asked the Public Service Commission to investigate,
• and, the Liberals have requested that the auditor general investigate

over something that the PM has already said was wrong and will not happen again. The overplay on this may backfire on the Liberals because it re-enforces the notion of the Liberals playing political games; but hey, that's just me thinking out loud.


The public is tired of this crap from all the parties. Do your fricking MP jobs and re-write the rules so we don't have ANY PARTY doing this in the future and stop playing expensive games of gotcha with my money.

Save the Hollow Tree!

Sorry Kate, but I say we need to save Vancouver's famous Hollow Tree which stands (with much help) in Stanley Park.

It stands as a symbol for all things that would, or perhaps should, die a natural death if it were not for taxpayer* dollars being spent. After all, we do know more than mother nature about this kind of thing don't we?






* before someone jumps in to tell me that this is all going to be private money I would like to point out the matching grant from the Heritage Legacy Fund of BC which was funded by tax dollars, and such additional costs as the cost of about $100,000 to landscape around the site and restore the roadway curbing, as claimed by Stanley Park board staff.
