Contrast those words to this recent news. I guess the lure of all that money to be made from those cute little seals was just too great to pass up for Paul Watson after all.

Thanks for the H/T Ardvark! Yes, quite interesting, it's all about the money they can raise, not the seals.
There's a sucker born every minute. And apparently they include schoolchildren and pensioners. That's sick. Everyone should see this video.
Wow. I didn't think I could be more disgusted with that man than I already was, but he is detestable.
The question I have after all of this is; do these groups REALLY want the seal hunt, which is their biggest cash cow, stopped?
If the Canadian seal hunt was stopped, Paul Watson might have to get a real job.
The seal hunt protest is a business like any other, a big business too. It helps to finance many wing-nut activsts groups today. If the seal hunt was to stop, these protest groups would be in trouble.
