I guess we as Conservatives need to ask ourselves, do we want the NDP to stay strong or wither? Libby Davies would be a disaster as party leader, and I'm not sure I want to see the NDP decimated with Bob Rae stepping into the void. I'd like to see someone at least moderately competent.
Canada is better off with a competent official opposition. I doubt that Davies can deliver that. Rather I would expect something so radical and strident that the government can safely ignore the opposition, knowing Davies will find little traction with most Canadians.
Canada is better of with a strong opposition - just not a socialist/communist NDP. I would be thrilled if Libby got in, just because it would be the end to the socialist NDP.
Actually she is far more representative of what the NDP stands for and their policies, so I think she is a great choice. Those who think she only represents a small minority within the NDP need to do their research.

ReplyDeleteNaw Icy, I'd love to see the drooling and gagging is Libby got in.
ReplyDeleteThe Ceeb could make a Drama or mini series on the subject,

ReplyDeleteHow about Pat Martin? I am flexable.

ReplyDeleteAlain, you are correct: "...she is far more representative of what the NDP stands for and their policies..."
ReplyDeleteAnd that is why I am on Team Libby, with Pat Martin currently running a close second.
