I think Harper failed chauvinist 101 then. His wife has worked for years in her own business and not only that, she did so without taking his name. So I don't think your little theory holds water when looking at their history together.
They were made for each other. Just look at how she decided to take on the Harper name when it might cause some small minded people to question her use of Teskey, nipping it in the bud. Now compare that to how Dion handled the French passport issue.
So not only is Stephen Harper better at leadership than Dion is, but so is his wife!! Like I said, made for each other.
